Zwischenwelt  / Intermediate World

The program shows a selection of short animated and experimental films, which stimulate a reflection on the perception of inner and outer worlds. As a replacement for the postponed cinema programs of the Under_the_Radar 2020 festival, this compilation also refers to the experiences of our displaced everyday life. Movement and standstill meet in real space, in the interior and the projection into the exterior, in imagination, in memories, in media spaces and in abstract space.
In extension of the festival theme, which was set long before the pandemic, we are now even more in “The Age of the Absurd.”

Das Program zeigt eine Auswahl an kurzen Animations- und Experimentalfilmen, welche die Reflexion der Wahrnehmung von Innenwelten und Aussenwelten anregen. Als Ersatz für die verschobenen Kinoprogramme des Festivals Under_the_Radar 2020 nimmt die Zusammenstellung auch Bezug zu den Erfahrungen unseres verschobenen Alltags. Bewegung und Stillstand treffen sich, im realen Raum, im Innenraum und der Projektion in den Aussenraum, in der Vorstellung, in der Erinnerung, im medialen Raum und im abstrakten Raum.
In Erweiterung des Festivalthemas, welches lange vor der Pandemie festgelegt worden war, befinden wir uns erst recht in “The Age of the Absurd.”
